adrenalin pumps and your excitement soars higher
than the sky. It’s time for entertainment, It’s
time for the competition, It’s time for Odyssey
08! Odyssey has been a passionate project for each
Birla High student, and we host it with a belief
that we are doing our best. Odyssey hosts a number
of innovative and enthralling events which generate
tremendous participation and
audience-response.
Odyssey
takes you to the world of the best cult fests united
with enthralling participation and competition,
non-stop exhilaration and a sense of thrill. Odyssey
plays with your senses.
When lost in a dormant world, the phoenix rises, and
this year it’s going to rise stronger than ever.
Let the journey begin! Let your soul take you beyond
the horizon!

One
of the highlights of my tenure as the Principal of
Birla High School, Kolkata, has been to revive our
journey of bringing together students of different
city schools to display their talent on a common
platform at the ever popular Birla High School
fest... Odyssey. Life is a veritable Journey, albeit
a collective one, where people come together for a
while, forge bonds of friendship – some lasting
ones, and then move on in quest of their individual
goals. What makes this journey enriching are the
people we come in contact with in our “Odyssey”
and the opportunities it provides for meaningful
interaction with others.
The emphasis on comradeship, co-operation and
conviviality instead of a competition makes “Odyssey”
a unique fest. I wish Odyssey 2008 all success. May
God Bless the Endeavor!

Neither
time nor custom can diminish the enthusiasm and keen
interest generated by the annual Odyssey of Birla
High School. This year’s fest too promises to be a
journey of innovation that will help unearth the
hidden talent of the participants and enable them to
realize the timeless potential of the human
imagination.
I take this opportunity to wish the managing
committee of Odyssey 2008 all success in their
